| Designed with the beginner in mind, this 8 week course will cover the safe and proper use of many hand and power tools such as the table saw, compound mitre saw, router and more.
Gluing and clamping techniques will be shown with full instruction and demonstration on tools such as the biscuit joiner and router. While learning the basics you will build one of two selected projects in pine/oak. Project 1 - Amish Jelly Cupboard Styled from Amish design, this solid pine Jelly Cupboard will add a beautiful old country touch to your kitchen or family room.Cost of Materials: $120 Taxes Included (Pine only) Project 2 - Vertical Bookcase A very functional piece for any room, this 6' vertical bookcase, with adjustable shelves above and below. A more advanced course with a duration of 15 weeks. This course will cover many aspects of woodworking, while building a project of your own choice. Our qualified instructor will guide you through each stage of your particular construction, as well as assist in design and layout. There have been some real challenging projects built in this course. Some woodworking experience would be helpful, but not necessary. Register early as there is limited registration for this course. |

With the high cost of production furniture and not always finding the design and quality you would like, wouldn’t it be nice to design and have the satisfaction of custom building your own entertainment unit or armoire?
All you need are the dimensions of your components. During this course, you will learn many techniques of woodworking, including carcass construction, raised panel doors, drawer construction, crown moulding and more. No skill level is needed as our qualified instructor will guide you through each step of construction. So bring your design and let’s build this beautiful and functional piece of furniture. |
